The Washington Sustainable Food and Farming Network, in collaboration with WSDA, is presenting a one-day conference on farm to school strengthening Farm to School in Washington State. Share stories and attend workshops aimed at educating and creating the connections that are vital to successful farm to school programs. Workshops on local food procurement, GAP and food safety, and how to engage the community in farm to school efforts will be offered.
In addition, Kate Adamick will be featured as the keynote speaker who will also present her Lunch Money workshop. Kate Adamick is Co-Founder of Cook for America®, and has helped hundreds of schools throughout the United States transform their cafeterias into scratch-cooking operations. Her Lunch Money workshop focuses on how to serve healthy school meals in a sick economy.
