Alderwood Elementary kindergartener Johnny Gaona, 5, enjoys cornbread made locally by Avenue Bread dipped in homemade chili during lunch on Taste Washington Day, Wednesday, Oct. 7, 2015 in Bellingham. The three-bean chili was made with beans from Truitt Family Foods in Quincy, WA. Tri-color sweet coleslaw from Ralph’s Greenhouse in Mt. Vernon and Cloud Mountain Farms in Everson was also served.
